“There’s our little star!” and the others are smiling so genuinely that I can’t help but smile in return. They impressed me in 8, following me onto the roof during the bombing, making Plutarch back off so they could get the footage they wanted. They more than do their work, they take pride in it. Like Cinna.

I have a strange thought that if we were in the arena together, I would pick them as allies. Cressida, Messalla, and—and—”I have to stop calling you ‘the insects,'” I blurt out to the cameraman.

When I read this scene, I thought, Hufflepuffs in Panem! (And Capitol citizens to boot!)

No matter how silly what we do may seem to others (designing clothes, filming, writing), when we put our whole hearts into it, people notice.

Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ. ~ Colassians 3:23-24 (ESV)

Hard work is what we, who call ourselves Christ-followers, are called to do. We are called to work at whatever we are laboring as if we are working directly for the Lord and not for man. Because, really, we are working for Him. We are His representatives, so all we do reflects back on Him. Therefore, we must work heartily, not for our glory, but for His.

Let it be said of we who are known to follow Christ, They more than do their work, they take pride in it.

Let that be said of me.
