ALBUS: My father proved you don’t have to be grown-up to change the wizarding world.
I really love this line because it does show Albus’s respect for his father, however much that may disappear in his adolescence. And it’s true. Harry Potter proved to children and teens everywhere that we don’t have to be grown-ups to change our world.
Harry reminds me a bit of David in that David also proved that you don’t have to be grown-up to both change and save your world.
“Don’t worry about this Philistine,” David told Saul. “I’ll go fight him!”
“Don’t be ridiculous!” Saul replied. “There’s no way you can fight this Philistine and possibly win! You’re only a boy, and he’s been a man of war since his youth.”
If you’ve read the story of David and Goliath in 1 Samuel 17, you’ll know that David conquers the giant saving his nation. David proves anyone with the heart to do amazing things can do amazing things — no matter your age.
The eyes of the LORD search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him. ~ 2 Chronicles 16:9 NLT
